✦ Hey, Friend ✦
My name is LynnC — and yes, my kittens eat better than I do. If you just smiled reading that, you didn’t stumble onto this page. You found us for that reason. The right friends always find each other. I’ve built my entire life around that belief — and every kitten I’ve ever placed has proved it true.
✦ My Story
I grew up with animals. Not as a hobby — as a way of life. By the time I was 18 years old, I was running a 10-stall horse boarding facility on my own property. That tells you most of what you need to know about me.
I believe every cat and kitten has a soul mate. I never worry about when or whether a kitten will find their forever home — the universe already knows exactly where they’re going. My job is simply to raise them beautifully until that meeting happens. Many people don’t believe animals have souls. Our families do. And that shared belief is the foundation of everything Inara’s is built on.
Over the next three decades I became a John Lyons Certified Horse Trainer, a certified equine appraiser, an equine sports massage therapist, a protection dog trainer, a dog obedience trainer, a Rottweiler and Doberman breeder, a dressage barn manager, and spent years working at an exotic animal rescue in Florida. I exercised thoroughbreds at the track. I showed horses, dogs, and cats. I started horses under saddle and to cart. I retrained problem horses that no one else could reach.
Animals have been my language since before I could find the words for it.
The Persians came into my life over 11 years ago — and they never left. What started with one extraordinarily beautiful cat turned into a passion I couldn’t contain. Today, Inara’s Prettiest Persians is everything I know about animals, distilled into the most breathtaking, sweet-natured, and deeply bonded kittens I have ever raised.
I now own and operate a professional pet grooming salon here in Eureka, Northern California — and everything about how I groom, raise, and care for animals is informed by those decades of hands-on, ground-level experience that no certificate alone can give you.
Breeding is more than a job and more than a career — it is a lifestyle. Every kitten born here is born into the middle of a real, warm, busy home filled with love, laughter, and more animal expertise than most vets encounter in a lifetime.

✦ The Résumé No Other Breeder Has ✦
When you buy a kitten from Inara’s, you’re not buying from someone who took a weekend course. You’re buying from someone who has spent nearly three decades at the absolute ground level of animal care, training, health, and breeding.

✦ Why I Do This ✦
I want to be completely transparent with you about something that I think matters enormously: I have a real job. I own and operate a professional pet grooming salon here in Eureka. I am not dependent on kitten sales to pay my rent or feed my family.
I tell you this because it changes everything about how I breed. I am not in a rush. I am not cutting corners to recoup losses. I am not pressured to place a kitten with the wrong family because I need the money. I can be selective, patient, and completely guided by what is best for the kitten — not what is best for my bank account.
I breed because I know — with every cell in my body — that animals have souls. They have feelings. They deserve the best love, the best care, and the deepest understanding. After 29 years working with every animal imaginable, I have never once doubted this. The kitten I place with you is not a product. It is a living being that will love you unconditionally for the next 15–20 years. That deserves to be treated as sacred.
“Until one has loved an animal, a part of one’s soul remains unawakened.”
— Anatole France, Nobel Prize-winning author
I review every application personally. I look for families who understand that an animal is for life, not temporary. Families who will love, protect, and care for this kitten as the sentient, feeling creature it is.
I do not cater to breeders. I would rather place a kitten with a devoted pet home at a lower price than sell to a breeder at a higher one. Our babies are not breeding stock — they are companions. The families who receive them are carefully chosen, and that selectivity is one of the most meaningful things I offer.
✦ A Gentle Note on Availability
Our silver, golden, and blue golden Persians come from one of the smallest gene pools in the breed. Litter sizes are naturally smaller than other color groups. Combined with our careful placement process, our kittens are genuinely limited — not as a marketing tactic, but as a biological and ethical reality. If you find a kitten here that speaks to you, don’t wait.
✦ The Hard Road ✦
Let me tell you what it actually took to get here — because most breeders won’t.
The silver, golden, and blue golden Persian color group is the smallest gene pool in the entire Persian breed. Smaller litters. More genetic complexity. More health challenges that other breeders actively try to hide. When I started this journey 11 years ago with a $40,000 investment in foundational cats, I had no idea I was walking into what would become an 11-year exercise in being a DNA detective.
The big breeders in this world bury heart problems within bloodlines. They hide health issues to protect the sale price. I discovered this the hard way — and it made me obsessed with transparency, testing, and doing the work that others refuse to do. I spent years tracing bloodlines, studying genetics, and making decisions that cost me in the short term but built something extraordinary over time.
I made a strategic decision that almost no one else in this color group made: I did not line breed for 11 years. I wanted to fully understand every bloodline I chose before combining them. That discipline is rare and it is expensive — but it is why our kittens are what they are today.
I also outcrossed our silver, golden, and blue golden Persians with a blue point Himalayan bloodline — a move that dramatically improved eye color and breeding vitality. The results speak for themselves in every kitten we place.
✦ 11 Years in One Number ✦
That single number represents 11 years of nutritional research, genetic selection, health testing, early neurological stimulation, and refusing to compromise. When I started, C-sections were routine. Now they are a thing of the past. That is what a decade of obsession looks like.
I have perfected the health. I have perfected the look. I have perfected the eye color and coat. I have perfected the nutrition — not just for the cat, but for the families who take them home. And I use an early neurological stimulation method with every litter that produces the kind of confident, curious, affectionate personalities that our families talk about for years.
I will be writing extensively about all of this in the blog — sharing my real experiences, my real results, and my real mistakes. Not medical advice. Just 11 years of honest, hard-won truth from someone who cared enough to find it.
✦ My Partner in the Dream ✦
Every kitten born at Inara’s is raised by two people — me, and my son Fisher. From the very beginning, Fisher has been my partner in this dream. Every litter, every late night, every milestone this cattery has ever had — he has been right here beside me.
Our kittens are raised in a real home, with real family. They know the sounds, the energy, the rhythms of daily life with people who genuinely love them. That is not something you can fake — and it shows in every kitten we place.
Fisher and I built Inara’s together. This isn’t just my cattery. It’s ours.
