Every kitten that leaves my home carries a piece of my heart. I have been raising and placing animals for over 29 years, and I approach every litter with the same belief: these are not products. They are living souls with feelings, needs, and an extraordinary capacity for love.
From the moment my kittens are born, I practice Early Neurological Stimulation — I hold them, touch their paws, socialize them with other animals and children, and speak to them with intention. What I give them in those first weeks shapes who they become for a lifetime.
This agreement exists not to create distance between us, but to protect the precious life you are welcoming into your home. Please read it fully. If any section gives you pause, I encourage you to reach out before signing. I want this to be the beginning of a beautiful relationship — for you, for me, and most of all, for your new Furr-ever Best Friend.
This companion will be provided with safe, comfortable indoor living at all times and will not be permitted to roam outdoors unsupervised. Buyer agrees to provide routine veterinary care as needed, which is solely the buyer’s financial responsibility.
This kitten/cat shall not be declawed under any circumstances. Declawing is an irreversible surgical amputation that causes lasting physical and behavioral harm. This is non-negotiable.
The Reservation Fee paid secures your placement priority — either first pick, second pick, or a specific Furr-ever Best Friend already chosen — and is applied toward the total price. The Reservation Fee is non-refundable if the buyer cancels, changes their mind, or fails to complete the purchase for any reason personal to the buyer. It is fully refundable only if the sale is canceled by the breeder, or if the specific Furr-ever Best Friend reserved experiences a serious health event prior to placement. The Reservation Fee is non-transferable to a different kitten.
Furr-ever Best Friends that have not been paid in full cannot be held past their go-home date. Breeder reserves the right to cancel any sale at any time if it is not in the best interest of the Furr-ever Best Friend.
Full payment is required under ONE of the following options. Buyer MUST select and initial their choice:
All Furr-ever Best Friends placed under this agreement are sold with a Limited CFA Registration. This is the only registration available under this contract — no exceptions. The breeder practices and strongly encourages Early Spay/Neuter (ESN), but respects the buyer’s right to make their own decision.
Note: Full CFA Registration is not available under this agreement. It is only applicable to cats sold under a separate Breeding Rights Agreement.
Buyer agrees to keep the new Furr-ever Best Friend isolated from all other animals in the home until a licensed veterinarian has completed a wellness examination.
Every Furr-ever Best Friend leaves this home having been raised on an exceptional nutritional program: Royal Canin Kitten dry kibble, Sheba wet food (any flavor), homemade organic chicken with hearts, liver, necks, bone marrow, and pumpkin, and raw rabbit. This is a carefully designed foundation for lifelong health.
The Lifetime Health Warranty requires that Royal Canin dry kibble be maintained as the base dry food for the life of the cat. This is the one non-negotiable nutritional requirement. Royal Canin is widely available at all major pet retailers, big box stores, and online.
For the first 90 days following placement, the buyer must also continue Sheba wet food (any flavor) without introducing new wet food brands. This 90-day period allows the immune system to recover from the combined stress of rehoming, vaccination, and spay/neuter surgery. Introducing new foods during this window is a documented trigger for gastrointestinal stress and IBD in young cats.
After the 90-day transition period, the buyer is welcome to add home-cooked meals, raw diets, or supplemental wet foods alongside the Royal Canin dry base.
To the best of the breeder’s knowledge, every Furr-ever Best Friend placed is healthy, free from infectious disease, and free from life-threatening congenital defects at the time of placement. This Furr-ever Best Friend is guaranteed FeLV/FIV negative and PKD negative at the time of sale.
Important Definition: A congenital defect means a condition the cat was born with — genetic or developmental in origin. Illness, injury, infection, parasites, or any condition acquired after placement is NOT a congenital defect and is not covered. To activate the health guarantee, the buyer must have the Furr-ever Best Friend examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of pickup or delivery.
Once the Furr-ever Best Friend has left the breeder’s care, the breeder is not responsible for any veterinary expenses, illness, or injury of any kind. The FeLV vaccine is not recommended by this breeder — administration voids this guarantee.
In the spirit of full transparency that defines everything we do, the breeder will fully disclose the bite of your Furr-ever Best Friend at the time of sale. Bite will be documented with photographs included with your paperwork.
In Persians, and occasionally in British cats, the bite naturally changes over time. This is normal, well-documented, and has been observed consistently over the breeder’s 11 years of experience. A bite that is slightly off — whether overbite, underbite, or side-to-side (wry) — does not handicap these cats in any way. They eat, they groom, they play, they thrive.
The bite is disclosed and documented at time of sale. Bite changes that occur after placement are a natural part of development and are not grounds for return, replacement, or any claim against the breeder. By signing this agreement, the buyer acknowledges they have been fully informed of the bite at time of sale and accept that it may change over time.
The breeder deeply loves every Furr-ever Best Friend placed and understands that life circumstances can change. If the buyer is ever unable to care for their Furr-ever Best Friend, the breeder asks to be contacted first. While the breeder does not take companions back into the cattery, the breeder will actively assist in finding a loving, vetted new home — including posting on social media networks and personal referrals.
The breeder loves watching these beautiful souls grow and will make every effort to send photo updates every two weeks until your Furr-ever Best Friend is ready to come home. Life is busy — updates will come more frequently when the schedule allows.
In return, the buyer is warmly encouraged to send photos as often as they like. A yearly update is always treasured. 💜
This agreement is legally binding and non-negotiable. A digital or electronic signature carries the same legal weight as a handwritten signature. This agreement is executed in Eureka, Humboldt County, California and is governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes shall be resolved under California jurisdiction.
By signing below, both parties confirm they have read, understood, and agreed to every term of this Placement Agreement.
