The Meow Meal
Recipe Collection

My kittens eat better than most humans. That’s not an accident — it’s 11 years of research, trial and error, and an obsession with raising the healthiest cats possible. These are the real recipes we use every day.

Every kitten that leaves Inara’s has already been raised on real, whole food from their very first weeks of life. We don’t believe in cheap fillers, mystery ingredients, or food that comes in a bag with a cartoon cat on it. What we feed our cats, we’d eat ourselves — and that’s exactly the standard we hold.

Below you’ll find my personal home-cooked recipe that I share with all of my families, plus the raw feeding recipes shared by my dear friend and fellow Persian breeder Roxy of Ethereal Persians, whose knowledge of raw nutrition is extraordinary. You are lucky to have access to both.

✦   LynnC’s Personal Recipe

Inara’s Instapot Chicken Meow Meal

Recipe by LynnC Caisse  ·  Inara’s Prettiest Persians  ·  Shared with love for our families

This is the recipe I make for my own cats and share personally with every family who takes home one of my babies. It’s simple, whole, and deeply nourishing. The amounts are intentionally flexible — you know your cat. Trust your instincts and adjust as needed.

What You’ll Need

  • One whole organic chicken
  • One package chicken hearts, livers & neckssold together at Safeway in one package
  • One small can organic pumpkinplain, not pie filling
  • Sheba wet food3 cans, any flavor
  • Kitty Bloom VM-900 vitaminssee link below
  • Water1.5 cups for the Instapot

How to Make It

  1. 1
Place the whole chicken and the package of hearts, livers & necks into your Instapot. Add 1.5 cups of water. Cook on high pressure for one hour.
  2. 2
Once cooked and cooled enough to handle, carefully remove all meat from the bones. Do not include any bones at this stage.
  3. 3
Strain the meat and liquid three times to make absolutely sure there are no bone fragments. Do not skip this step — safety first always.
  4. 4
Working in sections so your blender doesn’t freak out 😄, blend the meat with a portion of the cooking liquid. Add approximately 1/3 water total to get a good consistency.
  5. 5
Mix the blended chicken with the organic pumpkin, 3 cans of Sheba wet food, and your Kitty Bloom vitamins. Stir well to combine everything evenly.
  6. 6
Portion into containers, label clearly, and freeze. Thaw in the refrigerator as needed. Your cats will lose their minds over this. You’re welcome. 👑
A note on amounts: Amounts are intentionally not specified in detail — every cat is different, every household is different, and you are capable of figuring out what works for yours. Start with what feels right and adjust. The goal is whole, real food. The rest is just details.
